Solar Tech, Inc. was formed in late 1998 after its founder, Richard Schmidt became fascinated with renewable technologies, in particular solar electirc and solar thermal. The company is located in Southern Maryland.

To the left is a project done at the home of Richard Schmidt. This PV array is a 1 KW system on top of a pole mount. The 1KW system is grid tied with battery backup.
